COACHING RE-ACCREDITATION IS DUE!!!

CLICK HERE for the information necessary to get our current coaches re-accredited. Please fill in the application, and the registration information and return to me for processing (this information is straight off the AUS Canoeing Website - canoe.org.au). Please don't forget the payment of $140.00 to AUS CANOEING. I rang them today to question this figure as it seems a little steep, however the person who we deal with is away paddling at present. I will get a definite by the weekend.

To simplify the process the following can be counted towards re-accreditation (a total of 100 points is needed):

1. Current First Aid and Resus Certificate (mandatory)
2. 50 Points - Personal Paddling (5 full days paddling over the last twelve months) - or broken up into many smaller sessions
3. 60 Points - Active coaching (6 days coaching over last twelve months) - or broken up into many smaller sessions
4. 20 Points - Racing (2 points per regatta)

I feel confident that all paddlers have spent more than the equivalent of 5 full days paddling in the past 12 months, so no documentation is necessary, the same goes for racing (just an outline of the regattas attended will be sufficient).

However to verify the active coaching a letter from the club that you have been coaching for will be necessary. The letter needs to contain the following:

1. Club letterhead
2. Outline of your coaching duties
3. How often you coach
4. Signed by the club president or secretary

This a very small amount of work to keep your accreditation for another three years. Let me know if you run into any trouble with the process, and I will be happy to help.
